"McLaren 2014 will narrate the progress of Norman’s life in Scotland, from Stirling, through Glasgow, to Edinburgh.
When it occurred to me, back in 2007, that Norman McLaren’s centenary was approaching, I wanted to ensure Scotland recognised this internationally renowned
artist – one that most people in his country of origin hadn’t heard of."
Norman McLaren was a world renowned film maker, a genius of the moving image, famous for his innovative and prolific animated experiments. Many of his short films won International Film Festival Awards, including the Academy Award (Oscar) for 1952’s NEIGHBOURS.
